He pointed out that the total transport turnover, passenger transport volume and cargo and oil transport volume of China's civil aviation industry have maintained average growth of 16.3 percent, 15.1 percent and 12.8 percent over the past 40 years since 1978.The total turnover of scheduled flights has remained second for 13 consecutive years, from 37th in 1978 to second in 2005.
